Alok Equipments fabricates equipment in duplex and super duplex stainless steels: 2304, 2205 (UNS S31803) and 2507.
Duplex steels combine roughly twice the strength of austenitic stainless with much better resistance to chloride stress-corrosion cracking, which makes them the usual choice for brine, seawater and water-treatment service and for lighter, thinner pressure parts.
Duplex is less forgiving to weld than standard stainless, so heat input and filler are controlled to qualified procedures. Recent work includes a brine tank in Duplex 2205.
